This beautiful two week old baby boy was such an angel during his photo session this week.  Ella, his big sister, is kind, loving and an awesome helper at the tender age of 4.  I forgot how fun 4 is - she was cracking me up the whole time!  It was wonderful to see this gorgeous young family loving on each other; baby Drew is one very lucky little guy.  Thanks, C family for welcoming me into your home.  I can't wait to show you more!

Summer can be challenging for location photography in TX but on this beautiful June evening, with these beautiful siblings, not even the bugs and bees could prevent us from getting some fabulous images!

Aren't mom and dad lucky to have two big helpers for this sweet baby boy?  He might just be the happiest baby in the world.  I've met him twice and have still never heard him cry, what a blessing!

Oh how I loved photographing my sweet cousin's baby girl and their family.  She (and I) are named after our beloved grandmother who we hold dear to our hearts.  I am honored that we share the same old-fashioned, unique name.

As with most two-year-olds, big brother was at the same time precious, charming and challenging.  Thank you, sweet Meredith, for allowing me the privilege to make these lasting and forever memories for your dear family.

This young man was a pleasure to work with on a really nice spring morning in May (yes, I'm a little behind in posting!)  We were even able to take some photographs with their beautiful black lab, Ellie.

Matthew is graduating and heading to Sherman for school while his family packs their bags and moves to Houston.  I just recently met them and will definitely miss them in our community.  Congratulations and best of luck to you all!

This is an awesome high school senior with looks, brains and fantastic soccer skills.  I met him two years ago when his sister was graduating and it was fun to see how he has grown into an incredible young man who is going to do great things in life.

What a fabulous session with a wonderful model!  We spent an early spring day at a picturesque park in Highland Park (where she happened to spend many of her early days playing on the playground.) Thanks for making my job so easy.

This gorgeous high school senior is graduating a year early and headed to OU in the fall.  She is a fabulous babysitter and role model and has been like a big sister to my daughter.  We will both miss you a lot.

Congratulations, Allie, I know you will be very successful and I cannot wait to watch you bloom.

5 years and growing

It is hard to believe I started my photography business just over 5 years ago.  It began with continuing education classes at SMU, lots of research and some incredible hands-on workshops with some of the best photographers in the business.  Over the years I have continued my education both locally and outside Texas with professionals in photography, lighting, design, marketing and business.  I have been involved with an incredible coaching group and meet regularly with like-minded professionals to continually improve my boutique business.  Our industry is growing and changing and I strive to give my clients the best experience possible with my time and expertise.

As my business has grown, so have my children.  They are not always my most willing models but it sure is fun to see how they have changed  It's been a great journey so far and I'm looking forward to the next 5 years (with the business and my kids!)

I had an amazing morning with these beautiful newborn twin girls.  My own twins are now 11 (and boys), so being able to spend a few hours cuddling and photographing these little angels was a wonderful experience for me.  They were so sweet cooperative (for the most part; I'll never tell who the wiggly worm was!)
