A Life to Celebrate

My friend and pastor, Kathleen Baskin-Ball, lost her almost two year battle with cancer on December 2nd and thousands of people celebrated her life and ministry in an amazing ceremony this past Saturday. If you ever met her, you saw her radiance and felt the warmth of the spirit in her. Her light will always shine on, but I will miss her loving presence in my life.

I was blessed to be asked to take these pictures for her husband's birthday this summer. Skyler is a beautiful, precious 4 1/2 year old boy was adored by his mother. As my Sarah says, "I hope Pastor Kathleen is getting lots of love in Heaven." I know she is.

Giving Thanks

I am so thankful for so many things and wanted to share a few with you.
1. My incredible children and all their quirks. They amaze me every day.
2. My loving and supportive family.
3. The wonderful teachers who teach my children. You are truly amazing.
4. My husband and soulmate.
5. The health of my family. I pray for my pastor, Kathleen Baskin-Ball as she nears the end of her hard-fought battle with cancer. I pray for peace for her and her family.

My Favorite Challenge

I adore this family. This is my 2nd time to photograph them and it's so much fun, yet a challenge. The boys are triplets and identical; very crazy, fun 7 year old boys. I have two at home and when you add a 3rd, it's just a little more fun. Then, add a precocious princess two-year-old and you have quite a photo-shoot. Thanks, I hope to do it again very soon.

The mini-sessions are complete for this season. I am still working regular sessions through November and will be taking the month of December off to enjoy the season with my family.

We are off to battle good and evil and gather as much candy as possible!

The kids adore our annual tradition of a neighborhood gathering with a hayride through the neighborhood stopping and running from door to door. After about 1 1/2 hours our kids are done and ready to sort their lot. This year was much easier than the past; S could actually get on and off the trailer alone!

More Sessions

Another set of images from some sessions in the last few weeks. As a photographer and a mom, I love watching siblings interact, especially when they don't know I'm watching. A shared laugh or secret smile, it's priceless. Capturing those special moments is what I love best about my job.
